    Description

Up for sale we have a one of a kind U.S. WWII uniform grouping!
This grouping belonged to "Rufus F Starnes" of South Carolina. He served as a military policeman in the South Pacific during WWII. From looking over the documents he brought back it appears he was stationed in New Caledonia.
This grouping is VERY large as Mr Starnes held on to loads of souvenirs from his time in the army. All of the items included in this grouping are-
Named service tunic with ribbon bars and MP collar discs, army visor cap, wooden MP baton, large scrapbook/photo album, dogtag, and a small assortment of personal hygiene items such as a shaving kit and soap container.
I bought this grouping from the man who obtained it directly from the vets estate sale in South Carolina. I was told the estate sale was being held sometime around the 1998-1999 time frame.
The photo album consists of military documents, letters from the vets wife back home, educational booklets, and photos of the veteran himself. You can even see photos of the same exact uniform and cap from this listing in wear. The photo album was "assembled" by the original buyer I got this from, as I was told all of the paper items were originally found loose in a box. None of the items have been glued down, so you can easily remove them from the album if wanted.
Unfortunately eBay only allows me to upload 12 photos per listing, so I’m not able to show every page of the album.
WWII Uniform groupings of this size rarely come up for sale, and I know there are many collectors out there who would love to add this to their collection.
Don’t miss out on this rare opportunity!
